Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?

Gastroenterology has been a passion of mine because of the complex nature of gastrointestinal diseases. I truly enjoy the challenge of diagnosis and I care about each patient that I treat. I think about the patient as if they were my “family.” I feel honored to be able to participate in helping someone get better. Preventing colon cancer, stopping diarrhea or constipation, and improving abdominal pain can truly impact a person’s life and is what keeps me committed to this profession.

Do you have a specialty of interest in Gastroenterology?

I practice as a general Gastroenterologist and enjoy taking care of esophageal, stomach, colon and liver disorders. I like to advocate for colon cancer prevention. I also have a unique interest in women’s issues related to gastrointestinal pathologies.

What do you and your family enjoy doing in your spare time?

In my spare time, my husband and my twin boys love to travel. We love to explore, hike, ski and bike.

All staff were curteous and prompt. I was there for routine yearly check. I was not ill and my GI problems are not too serious. Doctor asked appropriate questions and responded with appropriate care and concern. I have no complaints

Dr. Brenner takes the time to listen to your concerns, comes up with a few action plans, follows up with you and gives you full bodily autonomy to make the choice that you feel most comfortable with at that time. I highly recommend her!

Procedure was professional. But even tho I followed the prep directions to a T, my system was not fully prepped for the colonoscopy. Therefore, the doctor couldn’t see much of my colon. I continued to have diarrhea for four more days. Also, the first nurse couldn’t insert one, and then two blood ports in my right hand, the second nurse installed a port successfully on my left hand on the first try. It was a difficult day, made more difficult by these near misses.
